Argument by Definition

each essay will be five pages, one inch margins, double-spaced, twelve point font with at least once source cited correctly both in the text of the paper and on the References page.
The actual assignment is an argument from definition essay– students should make an argument from definition: to argue about the definition of a concept, term, phenomenon or object and offer proof why or why not this concept, term, phenomenon or object meets the criteria for this definition.

You will need to establish the criteria for this definition and make sure your evidence or proof meets these criteria. At least one outside source must be used.
