While listening to Schumann Carnaval, and Chopin revolutionary Etude I find the compositions to be different in feeling. Carnaval made me feel joy and excitement as if I was in a theater watching a show,while the Chopin composition I felt aggression and anger throughout. The tempo for both compositions were upbeat and fast although carnival did have fluctuations in tempo and dynamics. The texture and dynamics of Chopin seemed to be loud and aggressive.I felt I enjoyed Carnaval more than Revolutionary Etude.

When I was listening to Schumann Carnival, It was a delightful piece, very up beat tempo that actually reminds me of something you might hear at an actual carnival which made me happy and brought back happy feelings and memories. On the other hand the Choplin piece while having a faster tempo as well, almost made me feel anxious, like I’m in a hurry to get somewhere and I’m running late. In terms of dynamics the Choplin while varying, seemed to crescendo whenever he would use his right hand to play, while the Schumann just seemed to vary up and down throughout the piece.
