Leadership traits in Julius Caesar, assignment help

On one level, the play Julius Caesar can be seen as illustrating different leadership qualities in action. A key question to consider: What makes a good leader? While the play does not give a definitive answer, we do see many strengths and weaknesses displayed by both Caesar and Brutus.

Provide evidence for the strength of leadership displayed by Brutus, as well as the weaknesses of Caesar as a leader. Locate at least one specific instance of each, referencing particular lines. Synthesize this information and summarize your argument for Brutus as the stronger leader.

As you consider these two characters, you may want to consider military history and accomplishments, overall character, including ethical, moral, or nationalistic values, as well as how perceptive they are about the motivations of others.
