A note:

I want you to approach this objectively outside of your political affiliations. I do not care what your politics are. This has nothing to do with politics.

I am a scholar first and foremost and absolutely everything I do in this class is grounded in verifiable research by experts within their field.

I know that this is a hot topic of controversy within politics but based on the previous TED talk we know that there are over 200 PhD economics from around the world who study this for a living and who have proven these facts. It also appears in the video in regards to “Does money make you mean?”

So these facts may not align with your politics but I need to you step outside of your beliefs and have a conversation with your classmates without it becoming ugly. In other words, be open minded. That’s the whole point of this class.

Remember to be civil with your classmates. I will not tolerate any disrespect within the forum to another student or myself when we discuss this. We can absolutely disagree but disagree civilly.
