Discuss political, economic, and social forces that contributed to the decline and fall of the Roman Empire. Consider in your essay how these forces could be seen as one of simultaneous disintegration of the Roman Empire and emergence of European civilization.

The essay should be 1200 words. There should be four supporting quotations in your essay. But, no more than four quotations. The focus should be on processing of the information you have read and your ideas.
