Write an essay on either of the following topics:

Write a paper analyzing the effects of some major decision you?ve made in your life, such as a marriage, divorce, or choice of school, job, or place of residence.

Write a cause and effect paper calling for a major change in government or legislation, such as making voting compulsory, limiting a president to a single term forcing the Supreme Court justices to run for office, or requiring all citizens of a certain age to serve their government. Be sure to identify the reasons for making your recommendation. You might also consider what you believe would be the effects if your recommendations are accepted.

It requires a framework that builds a message. What is your ultimate point in writing this paper? that is what you are working to support through reasons, analysis, and specific examples. Your paper needs to be anchored in the intro (place the thesis there) and then the paper needs to develop in paragraphs that are anchored in topic sentences that help to breakdown and explain and reason through that thesis statement. You want to make sure that you stay on focus and are offering critical insight into the topic by offering strong reasons and ideas for your viewpoint.
