What’s With the Will?

Instructions:

After carefully reviewing the information on creating a simple will, you will answer each of the following questions in a word processing document.
Answer all questions in complete sentences remembering to check grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Assume you are 40 years old, married, and have three kids ages 8, 13, and 16.
1. Determine two people you would consider to be good executors for your estate. Provide an explanation of why you would select him or her.
2. Select two people to serve as guardians for your children. Explain why these people would serve well in this role.
3. Who will serve as your Power of Attorney? Include your rationale for selecting him or her.
4. Do you wish to be an organ donor?
5. What are your burial preferences?
6. Consider where you live, where can you go to have your will notarized and made legal?
7. Identify the individuals and/or charitable organizations that will be made beneficiaries of your personal property.
8. Research the minimum costs and procedures for drafting a simple will in your state.
